Sweet :: Subversive

What do you get when you cross vintage bone china, perhaps a bit of grandma’s prized Regency or Royal Albert, with a wicked sense of humor?

Crockery with attitude!

I came across the work of New Zealand artist Trixie Delicious today and just had to share. Cheeky slurs come out downright endearing when hand painted on stuffy old floral tea ware. I love the irony.

And I think grandma would have approved. She was good at beat-em-over-the-head subtlety. After all, how better to show someone you love that you think they look like a low-down dirty good-for-nothin’ ho?
